Is equity crowdfunding right for your business?

We held an event in collaboration with YYC Advisors on the 101 of equity crowdfunding (ECF) along with what founders need to be investment-ready.

In the short span of freedom Malaysia enjoyed after lockdowns eased in October, Fundnel Malaysia held a closed event for startup founders and SME business owners to learn more about equity crowdfunding (ECF).

Hosted by Fundnel Partner, Chris Tan, the event was held at Found8 KL Sentral, in collaboration with YYC Advisors Associate Director Jason Loh, who shared expert insights on what founders need to do to be investment-ready through ECF.

The presentation encompassed the basics of understanding ECF, and how seeking financing via ECF can help businesses grow. Throughout the evening, Chris and Jason covered topics participants felt were insightful, including:

  • Alternative financing options
  • An overview of local ecosystem players
  • Equity vs. Revenue Sharing

We also featured our issuer partners, Enya and Ento, to showcase their products and encourage participants to network and connect with each other in a more informal setting. Participants also received exclusive vouchers from Morganfield's and GreatFUN Restaurants to experience their products.
